2025 marked the first year in two decades without a major film produced in Hawai‘i, a clear call for stronger leadership and a new direction. As IATSE President, my goal is to build a union that doesn’t just react to change but drives it. Our industry is at a crossroads, and if we don’t act now, we risk losing the work that sustains our families. Together, crew by crew and union by union, we’ll fight for steady jobs, fair contracts, and a thriving future for Hawai‘i’s film industry.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT MY WAY. THIS IS ABOUT OUR WAY...TOGETHER!
As a father, husband and papa, family is at the heart of everything I do. The work we do in this industry isn’t just about lights, cameras, and sets, it’s about providing for our families, creating stability, and building a future our keiki can stay home for. I’ve seen firsthand the sacrifices our crews make to keep food on the table and roofs over our heads. That’s why I’m running for IATSE President, to fight for the people behind the work, for the families who depend on us, and for a stronger, more secure future for everyone in Hawai‘i’s film industry.
